American Idol is an American talent reality television series that firstly aired in 2002. Up to August 2009, there have been nine season already, where 12 American Idol Finalists are competing to be the American Idol by the public’s vote. The program aims to find the best singer in the country through a series of nation-wide audition and the most important of viewers’ voting.

The winner of each season is the American Idol Finalists who able to keep the voting of the viewer for themselves, by giving the best performance in stage every single week; so that they will be able to satisfy their fans in order to get more and more voting. This is not a simple matter for the American Idol Finalists even though they are talented and capable to perform well. It is because of the three judges that will give comments for their performance. Sometimes the comment can be the great one, if the American Idol Finalists are able to excite the judges. If they are not, then some bad criticisms or comments may bring them to the elimination since the voters much affected by the comment of the judges.

The American Idol show itself has been the pioneer for so many countries in the world to hold the same contest in their own country. The contest will be named the same, according to the nation where the contest of Idol is taken, such as Australian Idol, Indonesian Idol, Singaporean Idol, Latin American Idol and many other more.
